Back to the photos from the Douglass trip - I realize I said "series" and then interrupted it, but anyway, here we go.

This is in an antique shop in Nacogdoches, TX, where I was taunted by overpriced records, old cameras, and this glorious machine.

Sunset?

Seen from Greenville in Dallas. No idea what caused this. Anyone have any ideas?

Update - father's explanation: "I think this is sun setting behind an object that stands out on the horizon, such as a very tall building. You can see the same effect watching sunrise in Jerusalem, before the sun emerges from behind the mountains on the other side of the Dead Sea. In the Talmud, it is poetically referred to as 'pillar of the dawn.'"
